The Memory-Keeper

There is no time in a tower without days or nights, and so she measures her life in the slow spinning of the tower’s stones. It seems everyone has forgotten her, but for her own sake she keeps her memories close, because the only way to prove she exists is with a past only she can remember.

With her memories, she looks for those who haven’t forgotten who she is, because they will share the same thoughts. With her memories, she’ll prove to herself that she’s not as alone as the situation makes it seem, and find her way home once more.

It’s a distant hope, but it’s a duty she has to keep to herself until the stones stop spinning and start falling onto the future below.
