Flying High

No one likes a cheat in a position of authority, especially one who’s not cunning enough to not get caught. But his pride soars higher than the wings of an eagle, and so he thinks he understands why everyone is jealous of him.

They’re like children throwing temper tantrums, and manage to cast him outside of where he wants to go.

He’ll never again reach where he once was, but that’s the price he paid. And if he were a little more honest, perhaps he’d still be talking to his friends, and the life he never wanted wouldn’t be so bad after all.
