Delusion

He knows he’s not terribly intelligent, and all he does know is how to eat and dance, but even he can have dreams that won’t ever come true. 

He resents the one who shows him hope, and the better side of life that he can’t have. There are worlds he isn’t meant to open; worlds he should never intrude, but when the gatekeeper is nowhere to be seen he takes it as an invitation.

He takes it as a mistake, and so he ends up being kicked out of somewhere he doesn’t belong.
