The Hoarder

She keeps herself in an empty palace on top of a golden mountain, and she’s the only one who knows the true value of silence. So when she’s rescued, she doesn’t ask for much, only that she can keep him close.

She ends up with a wandering heart, but whether it is his or hers she doesn’t know. She supposes they each have one half, so it should be natural if she isn’t inclined to share.

It should be natural for everyone, even if she isn’t “everyone”, but she learns the hard way that in this world, nothing really belongs to her, not even her own self.
