He’s bitten off more than he can chew, but he takes it all in stride because he’s on an adventure, and what’s an adventure without at least a little danger?
So he’s on an adventure where everywhere is dark and cold, and no one’s on his side because no one’s listening to what he has to say, but even so he doesn’t feel lonely. The world may be much bigger than he is, but as long as there’s a place he can return to and be accepted, there’s nothing to be afraid of, because his heart is anchored in something small yet lovely.
It’s no surprise then that he can always find his way back, even without guiding lights; even without anyone to help him but himself. But for now, he’s thirsty, and he won’t return until he’s full again.
