Bread on the Table

Despite all his years of hard work, what really counts is whether he can continue to put food on the table. But he is old, and not the same as he was even a week ago, so he’s ordered to leave unless he can prove to do the impossible.

The clever and cunning usually move on a whim, especially when they don’t care for any sort of sentimentality, and luckily enough, he meets one such person. So even though he has no friends, having a saviour is enough to put him back on his feet and carry himself home with extra to share.
