Unspoken

There’s nothing he can do anymore; nothing he can contribute, nothing he can hold with even two hands’ support, and so he slips away, wondering which speaks louder – actions, or the silence that churns within non-action.

In the end, it’s his grandson that answers for him, and whether he heard the unspoken question or not is still a mystery to him.
