The Physician

He could have had anyone in the world to be his godfather, yet the one that was chosen came walking withered and weathered, proclaiming that he could make the world fair.

His godfather taught him how to heal the sick, and made him wealthy beyond imagination, and the wealth makes him feel like a god. It makes him feel as if he’s in complete control over the living by having control over who can or can’t die, but at the same time, the thought makes him weak.

It makes him say “no” to his godfather, and only then does he realise that even he can’t make candles grow.
