The Innkeeper’s Daughter

She’s been inviting people in for so long, that she’s forgotten what it looks like for them to leave and say goodbye. And she’s the only one in her family giving away all their secrets, but secrets still remain if no one’s willing to listen to her.

She looks in the blood-red eyes of her mother each night, and waits not for a prince, but for a servant to come rescue her and tell her she’s not as bad as she believes she is.
