All she wanted to do was to replenish her water supply at home. That was all she expected to come of this trip to the well on a day like this, but instead, someone who isn’t supposed to talk to her talks to her.
Instead of her jar of water, she gets a stranger who isn’t supposed to talk to her, who asks her things he isn’t supposed to ask, and says things he isn’t supposed to know. He offers her an unlimited supply of water, which sounds crazy, but she buys into it anyway because it sounded so crazy that it just might be true.
Besides, he doesn’t look like the type of person who lies. It’s as if his mouth moves to form words that no logical person would say, but he does it in such a way that it makes her want to believe those words, even if she can’t fully understand the meaning behind them.
Later that day, she notices that she left her water jar back at the well, but soon realises that it doesn’t matter because she’s brought the well to her home.
