There used to be a time when even Economy class seats had enough legroom for tall people.
There used to be a time when air hostesses walked around handing out free decks of cards and kiddy magazines for all the boys and girls.
There used to be a time when even 4-hour flights included a meal and a snack, when even 1-hour flights included a bag of peanuts and a drink.
There used to be a time when you didn’t feel like you were being asked to strip naked every time you went through airport security.
There used to be a time when check-in baggage was always free, unless you went way overweight or had too many to check in.
Airlines just want to suck all the money out of travellers now. So much for trying to “improve your travelling experience”.
Anyway, I’m off to a wedding in Vancouver, staying at my grandmother’s place which as limited access to the internet. I’ll still try to update every day, but I can’t guarantee it anymore. Regardless, I wish all those who aren’t home a bon voyage, and discover that the world is bigger than you know, but smaller than you think.
