I’ve heard that insecure people either hate looking in a mirror, or constantly check themselves so see how they can improve. Mirror = reflection of the soul??
Mirrors are actually more expensive than one might think. My friend wanted to order several small, rectangular mirrors, but for $20 apiece, she decided to get a big one instead and cut it to size.
What I don’t understand the most is that although mirrors also have the name of a “woman’s vanity”, it’s actually the men who seem to spend more time in front of a mirror than the women I know, usually with excessive concern over styling their hair just the right way, shaving properly, etc. Women just seem to spend more time in the shower/bath, while putting on makeup takes little time as it’s such a routine thing. Actual time spent in front of a mirror, therefore, is less than a man’s. I should really do some anthropological study on this. It’s fascinating.
