As usual, Yo-yo Ma’s playing is top notch. Kathryn Stott’s piano was great too; just the right accompaniment – not too loud to drown out the cello solos, yet lively enough to bring out the best in the music pieces. Very harmonious! The cello wasn’t tuned exactly to the piano, though, so in the beginning it was a little off key. They fixed it during the intermission.
Ahh well. That’s what tuning forks are for!
