Recently, all my favourite potato chips have been less salty than usual. I hope it’s the actual flavour that’s changing, and not my tongue going haywire.

In my entire life, I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like potatoes. Well, one came close by saying she didn’t like normal baked potatoes, but she liked chips or fries as much as the next person. I wonder what’s so special about this unassuming vegetable that has captured everyone’s taste buds. Perhaps its versatility plays some part in this, a little like how eggs can be used for so many different dishes, but there’s just something so irresistible about a well-made potato dish. What do you think? What’s your favourite form/flavour/dish of the mighty potato? Personally, I like salt and vinegar, though barbeque comes in at an extremely close second. I guess it’s the British part of me speaking.
