Receipts are fascinating.

Receipts are fascinating. Some more than others: take Trader Joe’s receipt, for example. The front is not very different from other receipts, but the back has little antique-style cartoons that are very quaint and funny (some of them, at least). Other receipts have coupons attached if you’re lucky, although sometimes you have to call such-and-such number and answer a survey before you get the coupon. Yet other coupons have advertisements, or rows of coupons printed on the back, as if trying to save space. I wonder if they ‘sell’ the space to advertising companies.
